The Design House of FPL ®

In 1808 Fancois Pierre Lusignan, a French fur trapper from Quebec, immigrated into the United States. He met and married an American Indian women known as Mary.

Mary would take the skins and hides that Francois would trap and make then into bags and clothes to sell and trade to the other settlers.

Francois and Mary soon became known for the outstanding quality, workmanship and durability that was represented in each piece they made.

Today, over 200 years later, that tradition of meticulous attention to detail is carried on by their Great Great Great Grandson. Each piece is made with loving care in the FPL®  factory by skilled leather artisans.
